This suet cake feeder has a remarkably simple design, so it is very easy to clean and re-fill. Just remove the wire hanger and the aqua-blue powder coated roof is easily removed. The roof prevents rain and snow from wearing at the cake, and it gets in the way of squirrels. Scores of songbirds benefit from suet cakes, particularly in winter when a high calorie diet is needed. This feeder will attract hairy woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, flickers, chickadees, juncos, jays, blackbirds, and many others.
