It helps to break up and loosen the soil, drag the soil and smooth out the surface, and open the soil to receive transplants. The Classic Cultivator has a comfortable beech wood handle and a weather resistant metal, curved fork tines. This is a great tool for marking out rows at planting time, for covering planted seeds, and for breaking up clumps of fresh soil. Plus it has a convenient leather hanging strap for when it has to go back in the tool shed.
