Have you ever experienced the frustration of losing your tomato plants to disease before you can enjoy the harvest? Or do you have clubroot in your soil, making it impossible to grow any brassicas without developing the twisted and gnarled roots that can't absorb water or nutrients?

Many of our varieties have resistance to troublesome diseases, offering a better opportunity to grow a thriving garden that produces a bountiful harvest.

For the first time in our catalogue, we have added this helpful information to the end of our product descriptions as an abbreviation. Cross-reference the abbreviations with the table below to determine what diseases a specific product resists.

For example, if you are looking for cabbages that resist clubroot, look for CR at the end of the description. Or, for late blight-resistant tomatoes, look for LB. These resistances have been verified through testing performed by the seed producer.

Additionally, "High Resistance" and "Intermediate Resistance" indicate how well a variety will resist succumbing to disease. High Resistance (look for HR in the product description) means that the variety typically will not develop symptoms of the disease. Intermediate Resistance (look for IR) means that there is a moderate level of resistance, and the disease will be held off longer than varieties that have no resistance but may eventually succumb.
