Planted 5 last year, 3 germinated. Got maybe 4 very cute little squash before the plants all died from mildew. Tasted good, gonna try again this year
This variety is incredible. I planted the seeds in mid September and got good germination. I was hoping to get a fall crop but they grew slowly. However, their cold hardiness is incredible. I picked enough for salad in late December. I'm in Penticton BC (zone 7B) on the 3rd floor of an apartment facing south. The planter is against the railing with no protection and they overwintered well even when the overnight temps went down to -12C. I took the picture on April 3rd just before harvesting and hope to get another growth spurt before the hot weather sets in. I will definitely grow again.
This is my go-to Roma. The fruit is huge, they taste great, and they produce heavily over a long time period. They also seem less susceptible to blossom end rot than other Romas.
Liked that it is a sturdy product and reasonably priced. Also delivery time was great.
